Our client, V.A.C. BV has three units in the Netherlands: Van Antwerpen Cartonnage (Zwijndrecht), Angleboard NL (Nuenen) and Cader (Best). They are one of Europe’s leading producers of sealed paper products used in a large variety of markets. The companies manufacture and supply high quality paper cores, cardboard Edge & Corner Protectors and Concrete Columns. This diverse protective product range offers customers improved packaging protection, presentation and cost reduction with high standard recycled material. Angleboard NL manufactures eco corner and U profiles for load stabilization and protection during transportation and storage. To further manage and streamline the operational activities, V.A.C. is hiring an experienced :
Plant Manager, Angleboard (Nuenen)
Functie
• In this hands-on position you will manage and coordinate plant operations for the operational unit of Angleboard NL in Nuenen.
• Your responsibilities include : Production, Maintenance, Quality, Purchasing and Logistics.
• With one Production Manager reporting to you, you will develop and implement programs and initiatives in order to increase productivity and optimize material flows and resources.
• It is your mission to motivate, coach and develop human capital and to elevate efficiency in staffing, structure and organization while maintaining a good social climate
• You will improve throughput and other in-house processes with the objective of reducing overall costs and enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Maintaining high safety standards, you will ensure the application and continuous improvement of safety procedures in the plant.
• You will work closely together with other key people in the group's locations in the Netherlands (Controller, Export, Sales).
• You will coordinate with colleagues from other manufacturing sites within the group (e.g. Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain) and Signode Group.
Profiel
• To qualify for this position you have an Engineering (or similar higher technical) degree with a successful experience in the capacity of Operations Manager or in another relevant Senior Management role in a small to medium-sized manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience in or affinities with paper, corrugated or packaging industries are an asset, not a requirement.
• You have a deep understanding of production outputs, budgeting, cost control, material planning and labour efficiencies.
• You have a strong experience with developing talents and building teams.
• You have solid problem solving, project management and leadership skills and you have the ability to motivate, direct and coordinate staff on all levels of the organization.
• As an individual you are open minded, action driven, pragmatic and forward thinking.
• You have strong business acumen with excellent decision-making skills.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.
• You are able to operate in the different sites in The Netherlands with occasional travel in Europe.
