Function

After a training and introduction period (in HQ in Arras, France) you will be performing on-site post-sales technical support activities for the whole range of fixed gas and flame detection products and systems, mainly in the Dutch speaking parts of Belgium (Antwerp, West- & East Flanders, Limbourg and Flemish Brabant) with occasional interventions in Brussels and in the southern parts of the country. • As the main technical contact point for customers you will be responsible for commissioning of the equipment, incl. testing, calibration and user training. • You will ensure efficiënt and high-quality troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance of the devices with support from the teams in the service centre and in backoffice. • You will work closely together with the Sales team in giving technical advise to customers and in promoting and following-up service contracts.• In view of continuous product- & service improvement you will exchange customer feedback with your colleagues. • One day per week you will work from your home office for planning, spare parts management and administration. • You will document your actions and provide regular updates and accurate field reports. • You will report directly to the Regional Service Manager Northeast France & Belgium.

Profile

• To qualify for this role you have a strong interest in delivering technical support and field service for high-technological systems, equipment or devices. • A technical degree in Electronics, Electrotechnics or similar is an advantage but not an absolute requirement. • Above all you are a fast learner with a high level of autonomy and a thorough, effcient and methodic approach in finding solutions for technical problems. • You are a customer focused and result driven professional with a strong sense of ownership, safety awareness and a high level of responsibility and commitment. • You are a well organized self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. • You have good administrative and reporting skills. • You can communicate in Dutch with French or English as your second language. • Operating from your home-office in Flanders you are prepared to travel frequently to customer sites all over your territory with occasional visits to the HQ in France.
