The European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) with headquarters in Grimbergen is a non-profit, international organisation representing over 7000 infertility specialists, embryologists, geneticists, stem cell scientists, developmental biologists, technicians and nurses worldwide.  Following its continuous growth, ESHRE is seeking to extend its staff and is now looking to recruit a well-motivated and enthusiastic, m/f Literature Research Specialist. 

Function

Who will:

• Search for existing guidelines and if indicated guideline approval and selection
• Conduct a stepwise literature search
• Document and store the search strategies used
• Select evidence preliminarily
• Assess quality of selected evidence
• Summarise evidence by evidence tables and grading
• Formulate and classify recommendations according to standardized phrasing
• Record found evidence gaps
• Update the literature search two yearly for every guideline
• Support technically a guideline development group

Profile

• Relevant work experience as librarian or information specialist
• Demonstrable interest within the field of health service
• Knowledge of the principles, concepts and techniques of:
o evidence searching
o guideline development
o web and other information technologies
o databases and software packages
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, in writing and to interact collaboratively with a diverse group of people
• Willing to travel abroad on a regular basis
