Our client Elekta is an international NASDAQ listed medical group, headquartered in Sweden and active in the precision radiation therapy market. Their advanced systems for cancer care and brain disorders deliver personalised radiation therapy to target the tumour and protect the patient. Elekta today employs more than 4,000 people.

In the Belgian-Luxembourg market, Elekta is present in most of the larger hospitals. These customers are supported by a dedicated and specialised team of about 9 colleagues from Elekta Belux with an office in Zaventem.

Given the strong growth of the installed base, it is again time to expand the team of service engineers. Therefore, we are currently looking for a :


Field Service Engineer



After a thorough training (mainly in GB) you will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs for about 5 to 8 linear accelerators. These systems, in which electronics, electricity, mechanics, vacuum techniques, ICT networks, software,... come together, are a challenge for every polyvalent professional with a broad technical interest and a great curiosity to learn. - 70% of the time you are active on-site at customers (hospitals), where your contacts are doctors, physicists and nurses. - You are mainly active in your assigned region: Brussels and the surrounding cities from Leuven to Aalst. However, as a team member you are occasionally available throughout Belgium, Luxembourg and northern France for replacements or interventions. - You will also work remotely from home or at the office in Zaventem. - Part of your day's work is spent on the accompanying administration (reporting, orders, etc.). - You are in close contact with all your colleagues for the exchange of information.


- We are looking for a service engineer with a solid technical education (e.g. electronics, electricity, electromechanics, ICT, automation). - You have a solution-focused mentality and see a technical malfunction as a challenge. - Experience in the medical sector is not essential. Elekta provides extensive product training and at the start you will visit customers together with more experienced colleagues. - We are looking for a representative team player. - You have an outspoken customer-oriented and stress-resistant attitude. - You also bring good language skills. You speak either Dutch or French and can make yourself understood in the other language and are really willing to learn it. In addition, you can express yourself in English.
