To develop and spearhead the new Finance Centre of Excellence in Virton (Belgium), Signode is hiring an experienced : ACCOUNTING MANAGER SHARED SERVICE CENTRE BELGIUM

Function

Key purpose of your role is to build and lead the Accounting & Reporting Finance Centre in Belgium while assuring quality and implementing and observing best practices and procedures. Your primary responsibilities include : • Supervising the Finance Centre including accounting and reporting (US GAAP). • Acting as a team member and taking part in some of the accounting, closing and reporting tasks where needed. • Leading and developing the accounting team(4 FTE) and supporting the Belux Finance teams. • Representingthe Belux Finance Centre in the European and Global Signode Finance Organisation. • Organization development, accounting footprint simplification and best practice implementation incl. automation (ERP roll-out), standardization, SOX processes, audit and policy compliance, general TAX matters and statutory questions. • Leading improvement projects and driving change management. • Working closely together with functional controllers and with other Finance Country Leaders in Europe.• Acting as a trusted business partner to stakeholders, incl. Local management teams. • Reporting directly to the Director European Finance Shared Services in Sweden.

Profile

• To qualify for this position you have a higher degree in Business, Finance/Accounting or Management. • You have a relevant and successful experience in Accounting and/or Controlling in a larger international company with group reporting. • Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX is a plus, not a requirement. • You can demonstrate leadership skills and you are able to drive change management and lead transformation and continuous improvement projects and processes. • You are proficient in Excel with experience in ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365, Navision, SAP) as an advantage. • You have the capacity to work autonomously and efficiently with a high level of responsibility. • You are flexible with a professional and conscientious approach to work and the ability to prioritize workload and take initiative. • You have strong interpersonal and influencing skills. • You have excellent communication skills in French and English (oral and written). • You are based in or willing to relocate to the south of Belgium. • If you're residing across the border in France or Luxembourg you are prepared to operate approx. 3-4 days per week out of the office in Virton.
