Plant-a-Business (PaB) offers Belgian and European companies that want a foothold in Africa every help with the installation and start-up of their business. For many companies starting up in Africa will prove to be a must, but it’s not an obvious challenge and there still is a lot of cold feet.
PaB has boots on the ground in the main African countries and supports in the advice and implementation on site. Introduction, advice and implementation aspects cover domains such as implantation, market research, tax & legal, banking and financing, recruitment and selection of top entrepreneurs. Until now PaB has brought five Belgian companies to Africa, with many more in the pipeline.
Foster Business (FoB) offers the answer for companies that are looking for a collaboration or participation in a local industry partner in Africa. Here we create a cross-fertilization between European financial power, knowledge and technology on the one hand and the entrepreneurship and drive of a start-up or SME in Africa in an evolving market. The complementarity as well as the synergy is surprising and makes rapid progress possible, making every entrepreneur happy.
With the help of FoB, your company will sow the seeds for a later participation, takeover or accelerated expansion in Africa, without having to start from scratch. FoB initiates and guides the entire process as long as necessary.
Plant-a-business and Foster Business are eligible for subsidies from the Flemish Government via the SME portfolio and Establishment of a prospecting office outside the EU.
Search & Selection is a registered service provider of the SME portfolio for advice (DV.A241580). This means that Flemish SMEs that rely on our advice at an organizational level can benefit from a subsidy advantage. For small companies, a subsidy percentage of 30% applies, with a maximum of 7,500 euros per year. For medium-sized enterprises, a subsidy percentage of 20% applies, also with a maximum of 7,500 euros per year.
The Flemish government also supports SMEs in transformation, innovation and the exploration of new (international) markets. With the SME growth subsidy, the Flemish government subsidizes the missing strategic knowledge needed to realize a new growth strategy. The subsidies are substantial and cover the employment of a specialist and/or the acquisition of external expertise.
For companies situated in Brussels and Wallonia, the above aid measures do not apply. These regions have their own subsidy scheme.
