Senior Embedded Software Engineer C++
Function
• In the R&D department you will be part of a dedicated multidisciplinary Embedded Software Development team contributing to major development projects. You will be designing and implementing software for
a wide range of innovative and exciting product applications and cuttingedge technologies (including e.g. V2X, WiFi Scanning, Powerline Communications, Radar, Deep Learning, Thermal & Visual Sensors, Advanced IPNetworking etc.).
• You will be responsible for devaeloping and managing a crossplatform C++ Application Framework, an Embedded Linux Development Environment and Typescript/Angular Web Applications.
• You will work closely together with Hardware, Testing and Detection
(algorithm development) teams in the R&D department. You will deliver hardware support and participate in hardware architecture design and hardware prototype testing.
• In view of reliably and efficiently delivering highquality software you will be using the latest development methodologies and tools, including
e.g. Unit Testing, Functional Testing and Integration Testing.
• You will report directly to the Embedded Software Teamleader.
Profile
• To qualify for this role you probably have a degree in Computer Science, Software or Electronic Engineering or similar with C++ (11/14/17) experience and proficiency in Software Architecture and Software Design Patterns as essential skills.
• You preferably have a relevant experience in designing, implementing and debugging software for embedded systems. Basic knowledge electronics and software development experience in hardware control are a plus.
• You are comfortable working in Linux as a development and deployment platform.
• Basic experience in Scripting (Python, Bash…) and knowledge of Web Applications (HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular…), test methodologies and video encoding/decoding/streaming are an advantage but not essential.
• You are a result driven professional with a strong sense of ownership and high level of responsibility and dedication.
• You have a real thirst for new technologies and for software development best practices.
• You are fluent in English with knowledge of Dutch as an asset.
• You are residing in or willing to relocate to Belgium (Flanders).
