PLC Programmer - Automatic Packaging Solutions
Function
After an intensive training period (France, Finland, Denmark) you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, program- ming and improving/debugging automated packaging machines, mainly at customer's sites in the southern part of France with occasional interventions elsewhere in France or abroad. • Your work area and responsibilities include : PLC programming, software development & updates, electrcial design, cabling, testing, HMI screen design, system integration, network infrastructure and control systems. • Together with the Sales, Customer Service, Spare Parts, Maintenance and Production teams you will guarantee customer satisfaction by providing technical support and troubleshooting in the field and from the office in Le-Bourget-du-Lac. • On installation and start-up of new machines you will deliver support, instructions and training to customers on site. • You will diagnose technical problems, issue reports and propose possible technical improvements to the production sites. • You will report directly to the Service Manager South of France.
Profile
• The ideal candidate for this challenging and varied role will probably have a higher technical degree (BTS/DUT) in Industrial Automation (or similar) and a relevant and successful experience in installing, commissioning and programming bespoke automated machinery or equipment in an industrial or logistic (after sales) environment. • You are able to design and programme PLC's from scratch (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider) and you have experience working with HMI's and networking systems (Profinet, Profibus). • You have a strong electrical knowledge and a hands-on experience with system integration and machine controls.
• You show a high degree of autonomy, commitment and flexibility.
• You are an efficient, thorough, well organized and methodic person with a strong customer focus. • You can demonstrate excellent communication and reporting skills and you are fluent in French with a good command of spoken and written English.
• You preferably are living in the south-east part of France (e.g. Rhône-Alpes) and you are prepared to travel intensively, mostly in the southern part of France.
