The European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), with central office near Brussels is a voluntary organisation representing over 9000 infertility specialists, embryologists, geneticists, stem cell scientists, developmental biologists, technicians and nurses worldwide.   More information about the activities of ESHRE can be found on their website

Following its continuous growth, ESHRE is seeking to extend its staff and is now looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic, m/f Research Assistant

 

Function

The objective of the EuMAR project is overarching European, standardized, web-based data registry, containing high-quality cycle-by-cycle data entries from medical professionals across the EU, facilitating data sharing for open science across institutes and allowing the longitudinal and cross-border follow-up of the Medical Assisted Reproduction ( MAR) data.
 
As a Research Assistant for the EuMAR project you will be responsible for 

  • extending the existing stakeholder community with competent authorities and policy makers
  • discussing with national stakeholders to map current data collection and information requirements
  • preparing national adoption of the EuMAR data registry
  • engage and inform the collaborators for the pilot study. 
You will be the key person for engagement with the national stakeholders and will be the main contact person for national stakeholders. You will be part of the Project Core Team (PCT) and report to the Data Project Manager. 

Profile

The ideal candidate should have a university degree (min. bachelor level) with a background in EU studies and/or biomedical sciences, and a few years of working experience. Working experience within an EU-policy environment would be a plus. You should have excellent networking and communication skills and be able to take initiatives and plan the activities in collaboration with the data project manager. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks are a plus, as well as a demonstrated interest in matters concerning health, science, and research. Proficiency in English is a prerequisite and knowledge of other European languages a plus.

Offer

ESHRE offers you a challenging position within an international environment. ESHRE foresees an initiation and training period that will allow you to familiarize yourself with the organization, the field of expertise and the EuMAR project. ESHRE offers an attractive salary and benefits package in line with your experience. After your initiation and training period, telework will be possible up to 3 days a week. ESHRE can offer you a contract of 3 years. After 3 years it will be evaluated whether the contract can be further extended.
