About the job
The European Medically Assisted Reproduction Registry (EuMAR 2) is the second phase of a large-scale initiative aimed at harmonising and improving data collection on infertility treatments across Europe. Building on the foundations of the EU-Funded EuMAR Project, this phase focuses on expanding technical integration with fertility clinics and national registries, strengthening data quality, and ensuring long-term sustainability. The registry will provide high-quality, comparable data to support research, inform policy, and improve patient care across Europe.

Job description
As IT Support Officer, you will have a key role in the further development of the EuMAR Registry of cycle-by-cycle data from infertility treatments in Europe. Within the EuMAR 2 team, you will be responsible for the technical integration and support as well as to ensure high quality data collection.
As IT Support Officer, you will be responsible for:
IT Connections and Technical support:
- Support the registry developers with updates and new developments (e.g., user acceptance testing (UAT) phases before production release).
- Create and manage user logins and access rights.
- Support IT suppliers in configuring, testing, and troubleshooting API connections between the EuMAR registry, national registries of Medically Assisted Reproduction, and fertility clinics in different countries.
- Provide technical support for matching datasets and resolving data integration issues.
Helpdesk & User Support:
- Guide new countries and fertility clinics through the onboarding process of connecting to the EuMAR registry.
- Further develop and maintain clear, user-friendly training materials and provide onboarding sessions for users.
- Provide first-line technical support, escalating complex issues when needed.
Registry Management & Documentation:
- Draft and update the technical documentation for the registry to ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant standards.
- Support translations of the registry interface and documentation for multilingual users.
- Manage registry updates and communications on system changes or improvements.
Data Quality & Research Support:
- Monitor and coordinate data quality assurance processes
- Assist in multicentric data collection activities related to specific research questions.
Profil
We are looking for a passionate professional with a strong analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving mindset who is eager to work with real-world data. The ideal candidate is self-driven and motivated, capable of managing their own time and work independently, while also thriving as part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary team.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Biostatistics, or a related field. Preferably you have working experience with a special interest in database management.
The candidate should have practical experience with API testing and documentation tools, and knowledge of relational databases, data validation frameworks and system interoperability. Applied coding skills (e.g. in Stata, R, or Python) for data manipulation and basic statistical analysis are essential.
The role also demands the ability to communicate complex IT concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential, while knowledge of other European languages would be considered an asset.
An understanding of data protection and research data governance principles, as well as familiarity with data pseudonymisation and anonymisation methods, would be advantageous.
