To lead and further develop all engineering activities across the company’s current and future infrastructure and installations, the group is seeking an experienced and high-calibre :

 

 

Engineering Manager

Oil & Gas Industry - West- & Central Africa

Expatriate Position

Fonction

Reporting directly to the COO, you will act as the technical authority for all engineering activities across the company’s plants, infrastructure and installations in West- & Central Africa.  Your Key Responsibilities include :

•             Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams (process, mechanical, piping, E&I, civil & structural) across all project phases (concept, FEED, detailed engineering, EPC).

•             Ensuring engineering integrity, design compliance and seamless integration of all systems in line with international standards and local regulations.

•             Overseeing engineering delivery of projects, ensuring timely, reliable and fit-for-purpose execution, in close coordination with Project Management.

•             Driving process efficiency, operability and reliability through robust engineering design and optimization.

•             Leading safety and risk engineering (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, etc.) ensuring inherently safe design.

•             Managing technical procurement processes, including specifications, supplier evaluations and technical approvals.

•             Supporting construction, commissioning and start-up, resolving technical issues and ensuring smooth handover to operations.

Profil

  • To qualify for this position you ideally have Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical) with proven experience in a senior engineering or engineering management role within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Solid experience across the full project lifecycle (design, EPC, commissioning), ideally in complex industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of international engineering standards, safety frameworks and risk management methodologies.
  • Experience with engineering tools and systems (CAD, EDMS).
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and drive engineering performance in support of project execution.
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead, develop and motivate multicultural teams.
  • Entrepreneurial, results-driven and customer-focused mindset, with a strong focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills in a demanding, international environment.
  • Willing and able to live and work in Nigeria (Abuja HQ) with frequent travel across West- & Central Africa.
